Lead Times Reduced with New Implementation of High Precision Machining Cells
Faustson Tool announces an increased service option using three new quick-turn machining cells. The additional service offerings solidify Faustson's position as the leader in Front Range high precision machining.
The new service will reduce production lead times from 6-8 weeks to just 1-2 weeks, enabling faster, more economical product development, prototyping, and creation. The service is based on three brand new quick-turn cell machines - two FANUC a-T21iEL Robodrills and a Hurco VTZU 5-Axis Milling machine.
FANUC a-T21iEL Robodrill
This "long-bed" vertical machining center offers performance that exceeds drilling and tapping machines, milling capability similar to a 40 taper machine and the ability to handle larger work pieces.

Hurco VTXU 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center
The machine is equipped with Ultimax controls to help reduce programming time. At nearly 14-tons, the machining center handles basic 2D work (up to five-axis work) on complex, multi-sided, swept-surface parts with outstanding accuracy and efficient setup time.
The traveling column delivers machining processes with speed, precision and power, providing high-contour machining rates with excellent surface finishes. One satisfied customer reported a reduction in processing time on many parts by 70 percent, with setup times reduced by calendar days.
